Every now and then in an ordinary weekend, I opt to walk in solitary. Simply by observing the busy streets or the breezy milieu makes me feel steady. Whenever I feel stressed, exasperated or discouraged, taking a deep breath and going for a short walk can be one of the most effective solutions. Not only does it get you outside and exposed to natural light, but also boosts your energy levels, releases endorphin and primes your mind for inspiration.
Go outside to observe and discover new places
You can conceive positive and creative ideas when walking. This is also one of the best activities you can do to get the most out of short winter days and long winter nights. I feel ecstatic to wander these days and I hope the weather stays like this for good. There are many benefits of walking, it gives you enough detachment to calm down, re-evaluate and see things more clearly. If at any point during the day you feel stuck or unproductive, often a change in ideas is all it’s needed.
Those who make you feel happy, special, empowered or confident. Developing strong relationships and building support communities can be helpful to improve the quality and length of a person’s life. Here in Dubai, we have a Congregation and the members are like a family to us. By really paying attention to your relationships and actively surrounding yourself with optimistic people, you will be taking steps to a happier existence.
Always be delighted and laugh more.
Enjoy visiting state-of-the-art landscapes and scenery to loosen up. Feel the wintry mood, take photographs, and gaze the locale. It’s always bland to share moments with the people you are comfortable with: Talk about random things, new places, ideas and at times difficulties. Shared laughter is one of the most effective tools for keeping relationships fresh and exciting.
It can also improve our health:
- It reduces stress and depression
- It increases positive emotions, which in turn can boost creativity
- Improves problem-solving skills
- It reduces blood-sugar levels, which aids glucose tolerance for both diabetics and non-diabetics.
- Boosts Immune System
- It makes you look younger (This is my own opinion 😉)
The world is a canvas and we create the reality.
If we just look around and appreciate everything, we can have a colorful and meaningful life. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most incredible. Start your day by reading inspirational books or your favorite Bible verses as you get ready. Wear bright colors as a constant reminder of happiness.
Smile as you walk down the street to elicit smiles from others. If you’re exuding positivity in your attitude, you’ll start attracting the positivity around you. Take the time to do the things you love. Learn something new everyday and continuously explore the world. We have 365 days in every single year and each one is an opportunity to grow in wisdom, strength and happiness.
Make your life colorful and meaningful, most importantly stay with God and enjoy his blessings!
